The Academic College at Levinsky-Wingate is the premier college in Israel for coach and instructor training. It is an accredited institution of higher education that offers students combined academic and professional training for employment in the fields of movement, training, rehabilitation, and sports, and for teaching Physical Education.
The Krav-Maga School at Wingate College is offering official courses for Krav-Maga Instructors in Israel, as well as at select locations in the United States. Currently there is a course scheduled in the United States in East Providence, Rhode Island from May 17th to 24th, 2024, and in Israel for July 14th to 26th, 2024. If there is interest in other dates and locations, additional courses and locations can be arranged by request.

These courses are open to all Krav-Maga practitioners and instructors, regardless of the affiliations to which they belong. The objective of this program is to provide a broader understanding of the historic and scientific background and principles of Krav-Maga for those who wish to continue their development and specialization in this self-defense system.
The topics to be taught during the course include:
- History of Krav-Maga and its creator, Grandmaster Imi Sde-Or
- The theory, principles, and rationale of the various Krav-Maga techniques
- Scientific basis of physical training and its relevance and implementation in Krav-Maga
- Study and adaptation of teaching methodologies as they apply to Krav-Maga training.
- Teaching presentation, lesson planning and practice, and evaluation of knowledge transfer (teaching)
This course offers three levels of instructor certifications: Level 1 (Yellow/Orange), Level 2 (Green/Blue), and Level 3 (Brown/Black). If the candidate comes from an established organization with its own curriculum, they will be evaluated for the appropriate level based on their own organization’s criteria. Wingate College has to approve the submitted curriculum. If the candidate is not associated with an organization, he will be evaluated by Wingate College using its own Krav-Maga curriculum. The testing will include both academic and physical training.
Upon successful completion and fulfillment of all requirements of this course, participants will be awarded with an official Krav-Maga Instructor certificate from the largest and most prestigious Academic College for Physical Education and Sports Science in the State of Israel.
This certification is internationally recognized as a college level training and can be recognized as a teaching credential by the Ministry of Education of the State of Israel with successful completion of a few additional courses.
